The project “Irena Sendlerowa. Righteous” will be held on 22.06.2019-28.06.2019 in Israel – in Tel Aviv and in Jerusalem, in the following places: ZOA Tel-Aviv (23/06/2019, 24/06/2019) and The Pavilion Jerusalem ( 25/06/2019, 26/06/2019).

Performance “Irena Sendlerowa. Sprawiedliwa” is a dance show performed by children and youths associated in the Kontra dance group from Piotrków Trybunalski, run by choreographer Tomasz Balcerka.
The performance is a tribute to Irena Sendler, a soldier of the Home Army, an activist of Żegota, who along with other Poles associated in Żegota saved 2,500 Jewish children deported from the Warsaw ghetto from the deaths during World War II. Irena Sendler was honored with the title Righteous Among the Nations, the highest civilian medal given by the Yad Vashem Institute of the Memory of the Martyrs and Heroes of the Holocaust in Jerusalem.
With the help of a dance performed by children and young people, we present to the audience the figure of Irena Sendler and we tell about her life, especially about the part of her that falls on the time of World War II.
